Open Water with Streamline Aquatics

Program Overview
Join us for a monthly Open Water session designed to build comfort, skills, and confidence outside the pool. These sessions are open to both SASA athletes and MOSA athletes.
- Frequency: Once per month
- Start Month: May
- Location: Boerne Lake
- Cost: $10 per session
- Who Can Attend: SASA & MOSA athletes
What We’ll Work On
- Open water safety basics and expectations
- Sighting, breathing patterns, and navigation
- Starts, turns around buoys, and pacing
- Drafting and swimming in groups
- Confidence-building sets and coached feedback
No matter your experience level, we’ll meet you where you are and help you take the next step.
What to Bring
- Swimsuit and goggles
- Bright swim cap (required)
- Tow float (recommended)
- Wetsuit (optional, weather dependent)
- Sports monitor (Garmin, Apple Watch, etc.) — highly recommended to track distance and time, but not required
- Towel, water, and a dry change of clothes
Scheduling & Weather
Open Water sessions are held once per month starting in May. Specific dates and start times will be posted ahead of each session.
Weather and water conditions are always a factor. If conditions are not safe, sessions will be rescheduled or adjusted.
Registration
Cost is $10 per session. Open to both SASA and MOSA athletes.
